What currency do I need to take?
The Turkish love cash ! - they take USD, EUR, GBP and Turkish Lira, in Bodrum there are plenty of cash tills and currency exchanges plus credit cards are widely accepted in all shops and restaurants.
However as Torba is quieter so it's best to have cash in Turkish Lira - it does have 2 cash machines one till is at the Migros supermarket (go to top gate turn left and it's a 10 - 15min walk or there is another one got to top gate turn right and it's another 10min walk). If you did need to change larger amounts of cash up the 'Club Voyage' Hotel in Torba can do this for you but generally it's best to go into Bodrum .

Is there a safe in Villa Alemdar?
There is a safe at the villa - The safe is battery operated - so it's best to check they are still working - 'Omer' our maintenance man live on site and has the manual safe key - so just ask for these keys if you need them.
more about you. Please contact us for safe information.

Where is good to eat?
Torba - for the kids 'Menthol' opposite 'Club Voyage' is great it does pizza's, chips and good meat etc and also you can order Take-away pretty much any time - there is a menu at the Villa - if you call and say your in Villa Alemdar at Excel Villas Seven Seas they will know exactly where you are - as we have used the service more times than we care to remember !
For good fish in Torba - the the 'Gonca Balik' right on the beach to the left of the Boutigue Hotel is good
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Bodrum - For a top class restaurant you must go to 'Kafedaki' - the views over bodrum are spectactular -the details are in the villa, the owners name is Birrol - if you call them they will come and pick you up for free and take you to the restaurant.
Also a must is "The Yacht club" in Bodrum is very good for a nice meal followed by live jazz music and is suprisingly good value for money.
**A general rule in Turkey is - if something is not priced i.e wine or freshly caught fish then you should ask then agree the price with a waiter before you order - this saves any 'suprises' when the bill is handed over - but generally food is very reasonable.

Where is the nearest beach?
Torba is fairly upmarket - and as such some of the 'boutique style' hotels are priced accordingly
We highly recommend that If you go down to the beach - then near the Boutigue Hotel is a fabulous boutique hotel called Casa Dell'Arte - this is in our view a great place to go for food / drinks etc and nice loungers and the minimum spend is just 75Lira - less than £20!
The quickest way to the beach is go out of the bottom gate turn left - then take the first right - walk all the way to the end then turn left and then continue until you arrive
Also recommend - Is an 'all inclusive day' out at the beach by spending the day at the Club Voyage Hotel - for 120 turkish lira per adult which is £35 (kids half price or free if under 6yrs) you would get Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner plus all drinks (alcoholic included) and ice creams etc and you can stay until 9pm
Please note that as far as i'm aware you do not get charged to sit on any loungers at the beach - however if you do sit down you would be expected to purchase your drinks from the hotel owners of the relevant loungers.

Do you provide airport transfers?
Yes - Airport transfer - when you go through the Exit at Bodrum airport the driver will be standing accross the road holding a card with your name on and will possibly be shouting Excel Villa any probs at all call Okan @ Cars4u on 0090 532 674 6403
06
Are there any days out you would recommend?
There is an excellent waterpark in Bodrum so probably a must for the kids - there is plenty for children of all ages to do.
Camel beach or Bitez are good beaches to visit
If you walk down past the 'Club Voyage' in Torba there are places that offer all number of Tours so it really does depend on what you want to do if your not sure then ask TJ and he can point you in the right direction of where best to book.
There are quite a few 'private beach' clubs around the Bodrum Penninsula and one called B-Long in Yalikavak is highly recommended
07
Where is the best place to do a food shop?
There's a mini supermarket just 2 mins walk from the villa that sells most things that you would need (come out the gates at the bottom of the complex and turn left. Also there is a 'spa' sized supermarket called Migros which is about a 15min stroll (top gates turn left)- this does absolutely everything that you would need.
Wine
Wine in Turkey is I think good - although not quite as cheap as some would expect - generally anything from Doluca is ok but here's a couple we like :-
Reds - Doluca Kav (around £8 in supermarket)
Angora (around £4 in supermarket)
Kavaklidere (think that's how you spell it)
Whites - DLC (again £8)
Doluca Kav (£8)
